{"id":50648,"date":"2025-03-10T07:16:31","date_gmt":"2025-03-10T07:16:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bodyshopmag.com\/?p=50648"},"modified":"2025-03-10T07:46:58","modified_gmt":"2025-03-10T07:46:58","slug":"light-commercial-vehicle-prices-climbing-in-2025","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bodyshopmag.com\/2025\/news\/light-commercial-vehicle-prices-climbing-in-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Light commercial vehicle prices climbing in 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Average <a href=\"https:\/\/www.smmt.co.uk\/electric-vans-up-as-overall-market-contracts-in-february\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">light commercial vehicle<\/a> prices have risen by more than \u00a3800 since December, according to the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bodyshopmag.com\/?s=BCA\">BCA<\/a> data.<\/p>\n<p>Values have risen in the first two months of 2025, reaching an average sales price of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bca.co.uk\/news\/strong-market-confidence-as-used-lcv-values-rise-sharply-into-2025-20250306\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">\u00a37,998 in February<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>This is up \u00a3274 on January\u2019s figure of \u00a37,724, or 3.5%, meaning February returned the highest average monthly value for LCVs since May 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Volumes were also up across the month, increasing to more than 10,000 units.<\/p>\n<p>Stuart Pearson, BCA COO UK, said: \u201cCurrently there is a level of confidence in the LCV market that has produced some exceptional results, fuelled by a very attractive mix of stock and some very strong buyer engagement. Increased volume can often dilute pricing, however in a month where more than 10,000 LCVs were sold at BCA, real values increased and guide price performance lifted.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He concluded \u201cWhilst only a few weeks into the new year, there\u2019s a very healthy balance between supply and demand, which is welcome news for both sellers and buyers alike.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;March trading has continued with a similar pattern and whilst we could see some pressure as we move over the Easter period, following the sharp drop in values during 2024, the expectation is for a calmer and more predictable marketplace than experienced last year.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Average light commercial vehicle prices have risen by more than \u00a3800 since December, according to the latest BCA data.
